Meet Mrs. Pamela Flores: Inspiring young minds at Potranco Elementary Meet Mrs. Pamela Flores Show Transcript put your lab coat on and go sit on the rug some of you guys have been really rough this year on your lab coats they're a little looking a little sad and it's okay remember we said scientists sometimes they make a mess this floor is like being a scientist sometimes I just get to make a mess I think my biggest goal with them beyond the relationships is for them to come in and learn without even realizing that they're learning I try to make my day so fun and engaging that they think they're playing they think Miss floors is being goofy and silly Mrs Flores is a fantastic teacher because of her passion for kids when she tries to make every day for kids and experience and something special and magical be an amazing day why because you're the best that's a radio and that's what you listen to I found a radio I had a kindergarten teacher named Mrs McBride in my mind I still imagine fairy dust around her because she was just so amazing and beautiful and welcoming and Mrs McBride is honestly the reason that I'm here today I remember her not just teaching me but teaching me to love learning all right hold it up to the your passion for such Little Learners and wanting to challenge them sets a strong Foundation for the rest of their school and how that's so important for her to be a part of our positive culture here the way that she brings that positivity both in the classroom and out of the classroom it makes a huge impact on in on this campus and you feel like it's not enough and I tell everybody like this is obviously the first time I've ever won anything for Teacher of the Year and all of my 20 plus years and I think it was meant to happen here and in a district where everybody is amazing and everybody is wonderful and everybody gives 150% you always don't see the good that you do so the fact that my peers see what I'm doing and see that I'm trying and see that my heart is on this campus and my heart is here for these students and these families and everybody I think it it does it means a lot more here than it would have meant anywhere else
