Shoutout to our Second Grade PLC Team at Potranco PLC Team Show Transcript my favorite thing about school is when we do stations like today for a station we did technology and Math Academy and progress learning we do lots of maths which I really love there's like a 1 we're learning like there's a bigger number and a number and you buy it like that I think that PLC is really important because it builds Community between our team we're sitting we're talking about every individual kid it's not just my kids your kids it's all of our kids especially being like first time in a new grade I'm not familiar with all the teeth so it really helps me feel like I'm not figuring it out on my own so when we're unpacking a tape we're really looking at that verbiage that it's set inside that takes what is actually essential what should we focus on and spend the longest amount of time teaching because we really need to focus in on those skills and so unpacking that's taken that PLC with the team looks a lot like that and really figuring out what is it that this teak is saying that these students need to learn it's very important to unpack those teak so we know what we are responsible for and we also have to look at what do they have to to master before we get to those skills so it needs to look the same across the board so we have a goal that we're looking to hit for example um we just went through a place value unit we gave them 10 questions over written notation over your base 10 form things like that we had pre assess and then we took 10 questions at the end of our unit had them come together and test in that and see what that looked like if they scored an 80% or higher we declared that Mastery as a team and then you want to give them some leeway you don't want to say 100% is Mastery because that's not going to happen that's not Mastery that's Perfection I love the PLC because we all get on the same page we came to the table yesterday and we started talking strategies and I had strategies that I had come with with some of them had strategies that they use and we kind of met in the middle and I found some strategies that would work for my kids that need that extra help and some strategies for my kids that need that extension we're all trying to do the same thing and so it's consistent ENT so all the kids are getting what they deserve and what they need
