Teacher Behaviors 

  • Moving around the classroom and staying close to students.

  • Continuously scanning the room and monitoring student behavior and engagement.

  • Addressing off-task behavior promptly and discreetly.

  • Using proximity to engage students and maintain their attention.

  • Adjusting instruction based on real-time observations and student responses.

Student Behaviors 


  • Responding to the teacher’s proximity and interactions positively.

  • Participating in discussions, asking questions, and contributing to activities.

  • Following instructions and staying on task.

  • Responding to the teacher’s questions and feedback.

  • Seeking help and clarification when needed.
